My opinion is, is that a short-stroke, high-revving version of an engine is always more fun than a long-stroke, low-revving, high torque version of basically the same engine. This is part of the reason why the Spitfire MkIII 1300 engine is FAR better than the Spitfire 1500 engine. The maximum power output and fuel consumption of the M20B25 are better on paper than the M20B20. But a (warm) happy 320i driver will accelerate from 1000 to 6000 rpm, not because it is necessary, but simply because it possible, is fun, and sounds so damn good. I don't drive my Cabrio because it is practical or powerful, I drive it for fun.
And with oil, everyone must decide whether they want to listen to fairy tales or science. And then decide who is talking science.
Darkness gone, Tronic gone, Solo gone, go Darkness, go Frozen ! What's my F11 called ?
