The Haynes manuals are great, but all the fun disappeared after they rated the jobs from 1 to 5 spanners. Before you had to just start work, and find out the hard way if the job was one you could complete or not. That's how I discovered that complete gearbox rebuilding is not as difficult as the pictures make it look.
I will bring my 3er/5er Haynes manual to the Jahrestreffen if anyone wants to read it.
