Hi iyad, your car is equipped with a type of engine called M10. The 89’ model has not only a totally different engine, called M40, but different harnesses, exhaust pipes, cooling system, etc. The bottom line is: it is possible to use a M40 engine in a e21 but due to the enormous effort it does not make any sense at all.
